Helen’s career started in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. Highlights include serving on the USNS Comfort during Operation Desert Storm followed by a special assignment with the United States Marine Corp in Quantico, VA. After 4 years of honorable service, including a Navy Achievement Medal, she began her civilian career working for Concentra, Inc., the country’s largest provider of occupational health care. She was promoted several times and acquired critical leadership skills in health care, operations, sales, government contracting and mergers, and acquisitions.
She has spent the last ten years as a consultant on a wide variety of business strategy topics ranging from Governance and Sustainability to Employee Engagement and Diversity & Inclusion.
While at Gallup, Inc., she managed several large-scale research projects for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Defense, and the United State Air Force, among others. Her time at The Conference Board presented numerous opportunities to collaborate with Fortune 500 C-Suite executives. In this role, Helen focused on solution selling by matching The Conference Board’s portfolio of extensive enterprise-wide knowledge assets to succinct client needs. Throughout her career she has won several customer experience awards and sold significant consulting engagements to many of the world’s largest brands.
She received her undergraduate degree from La Salle University with a concentration in Finance and her MBA from Cleveland State University. She is currently pursuing her second graduate degree part-time in Information Technology with a concentration in Cyber Security through Virginia Tech’s MIT program. Known for her ethics, integrity, and accountability, Helen’s core philosophy in life is to always focus on doing the right thing.
